I had something else prepared for this week and even had it scheduled to send. Then this happened. A friend with whom I shared the story suggested I include it in my manifestation series because she felt so inspired by it. I’m doing so and now I feel inspired to write a different post than the one I had planned.
This is just one small example of some of the very cool things I’ve manifested lately using a technique I learned from Neville Goddard’s books and lectures. So far it’s the easiest and most effective technique I’ve found for me, and part of that may be because Neville (he preferred the mononym) and I share a similar worldview. I’m very curious to know if it works for other people. Before I say any more, I’ll share the technique.
Make your desire as clear and specific as possible. Know exactly what you want. (For some people this will be very easy. For others, like me, this is by far the most difficult part of the process.) Let’s say you want to manifest your dream job. Get as specific as possible about what that job will be like and, especially, how you will FEEL once you have it. Write it all down if that helps you remember the details.
Create a scenario in your imagination that takes place after the desired state has been fulfilled. In the above example the finding of my Kindle charger was so physical and concrete I could just imagine the actual discovery of it, but for your dream job, you could imagine a scenario in which a specific person congratulates you on getting the job. Make the scenario as brief as possible, and yet as full of sensory details as possible. It’s best to include a physical element, like hand-shaking or hugging. In my Kindle charger scenario I reached into the bag and felt my hand close around the charger. So, what is the touch sensation when your friend grasps your hand to shake it? What do you see? What do you hear? Include a few words of congratulations said by the friend. Hear those words. And most importantly of all, FEEL. Just like I felt the elation of finding my charger AND realizing that this manifesting technique works wonders (I swear to you I had already searched that bag TWICE). Doesn’t it feel wonderful to have that new job?
Induce a state in which your body is very relaxed and feels immobile. If you are new to this, the best time to induce this state will be at night, in bed, as you are drifting off to sleep. Now, imagine the scenario you created. Play it over in your mind again and again, but as if you are really living it and not as if it were projected on a screen. Make it so real, you get lost in it.
Continue to replay this waking dream every night as you fall asleep, taking care to experience the details using your inner senses and feel exactly as you would with the new dream job. The feeling is the most vital part of the process, which leads to:
During the day, as much as possible get into that same feeling of your desire having already been fulfilled. Feel and act as if this were already your tangible, physical reality. You already have the job. This can be the challenging part for anyone for whom this feels silly, childish, or delusional, that is until you get past that and realize it’s incredibly fun. Not only am I giving you permission to be a child again, living in your make-believe, I’m telling you that by doing so you are making your subconscious believe. Now watch your subconscious scramble to rearrange your physical world into the form that corresponds with your feeling state.
And voila! Manifested. Next week the manifesting series continues.
The first in the series:
Con amor,
